The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV presents us with its spectacular interior
The new Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV lets us see its interior, featuring the spectacular MBUX Hyperscreen system already used in the saloon, which also deserves the “Hyper” label for its price: almost 9,000 euros.

The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV now has a presentation date: October 16 is the day chosen for its world premiere. But we won’t have to wait until then to see what the new electric SUV, derived from the Mercedes-Benz EQE saloon, looks like inside. The star brand continues to expand its electric range with a model that will sit in the SUV line-up as a more compact and dynamic option than the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, which can be equipped with three rows of seats and seven seats.
The real star is the MBUX Hyperscreen display
The Mercedes EQE SUV boasts an interior in which all five occupants will enjoy benchmark roominess for its class. But the real star of the EQE SUV’s cabin is neither its interior space nor its design. Once again, the absolute focus is on the MBUX Hyperscreen display, debuted on the EQS and being adopted across each new electric model from the brand. This technology groups a series of high-resolution screens under a single curved glass cover, so that the whole dashboard appears to be one display.

The configuration of this screen system consists of a 12.3-inch display for the instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch central screen, and a third screen in front of the passenger, also 12.3 inches. And at least on the Mercedes EQE, with which this SUV version shares its platform, motors and technology, this is an optional “hyper-luxury” feature: in the versions where it is available it represents an extra cost approaching 9,000 euros.

Otherwise, the interior design of the EQE is repeated, with the climate control vents styled like turbines at the sides of the dashboard and an upper strip that runs across it and continues along the door panels, the floating centre console, or a spectacular combination of five colours that creates an avant-garde yet welcoming atmosphere. Notable are the laser-cut trim pieces with the backlit brand logo, and inserts in 3D-embossed anthracite finish with metallic pigments.
