The Mercedes E63 S AMG Estate sets a new Nürburgring lap record with a time of 7.45.19
The Mercedes E 63 S AMG Estate has posted a time of 7.45.19 on the Green Hell. This makes it one of the fastest vehicles in its segment.

Battling it out on one of the most famous circuits in the world has always been the order of the day: the Nürburgring. Every brand arrives at the German track with its latest creations, eager to prove whose setup is the best. Mercedes was not going to be left out, and they made sure that one of their latest sports cars set a strong time on the Green Hell.
This is the case of one of the latest vehicles AMG has been involved with. We are talking about the new E63 S AMG, specifically in its Estate version. This sports saloon went head to head with the Nürburgring and held its own against many supercars. It is no surprise that the German firm pulled it off, especially considering the performance this AMG offers.
The guys at Sport Auto -who have plenty of track experience- took the new E63 S AMG to the circuit. Several sports cars have set similar times at the Nürburgring, but never before had an estate car completed a lap so quickly. The E63 AMG Estate managed a time of 7.45.19, being almost as fast as a Lamborghini Murciélago SV, a supercar with almost 700 CV.

This should come as no surprise given the mechanicals of the E 63 AMG. Under the bonnet we find a twin-turbo V8 delivering 612 CV and 800 Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful and fastest saloons in history. This allows the E 63 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, a figure typical of Italian supercars.

The star brand has also thought about all its potential customers, which is why it has developed a slightly less radical version. The E 63 AMG drops the S designation to become a somewhat more “relaxed” vehicle, though only slightly, since it still offers an impressive 571 CV. On top of this, the E63 features a new all-wheel-drive system that can send more power to the rear axle, turning it into a vehicle with rear-wheel drive at the driver’s pleasure.
The new sports saloon arrives as one of the fastest vehicles in its segment, as demonstrated at the Nürburgring. But this sportiness comes at a price, and the E63 AMG in its more modest version has a starting price of 132,700 euros.
