After showing its interest in advancing electric mobility, Bentley offers information about the new electric model that will arrive in 2025

There are brands that seemed reluctant to switch to electric mobility, but little by little, all of them are adapting to the new times and preparing the arrival of new battery-powered models. Bentley is willing to take the step, and in 2025 that first electric model will arrive to give strength to its range. But, as it is Bentley, it will be a very special vehicle that will set it apart from the rest of the brands.

According to statements from the brand’s CEO, Adrian Hallmark, this model will have a power output of 1,400 CV and will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.5 seconds. These figures will make it one of the fastest cars on the market. This acceleration may be very striking, but the aim is for the car to be as comfortable as possible in this respect.

Thus, although it will be capable of this acceleration, it will have a second driving mode that will increase that time to 2.7 seconds. This way, drivers who do not feel comfortable with this push can maintain more control during acceleration. The goal is for it to be as efficient as possible in the ranges between 50-112 km/h and 50-240 km/h, which are the ones most commonly used by drivers of this electric model.

We know little more about this electric model from Bentley, which will feature the Premium Performance Electric (PPE) platform, developed by Audi and Porsche for the Volkswagen group. Its exterior will not reveal that it is an electric model, and it will aim for a more traditional look, close to the brand’s traditional design.

What has been revealed, although approximately, is the price of this electric model. Prices around 250,000 euros are being considered, a price justified by the cost of the electric drivetrain. The 12-cylinder combustion engine is considerably more expensive than any other type of engine, but the configuration of this model’s powertrain will require a very efficient design that delivers the power expected from it.
