The new BMW X2 M Mesh Edition adds a touch of colour to this autumn
The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition will be the most colourful edition of the German compact SUV, with superior equipment and even previously unseen colours

If we browse the BMW SUV range, many of us will likely agree that the X2 is the most interesting, combining design, freshness and technology at an attractive price. That is why the brand wants to boost its compact SUV with the new X2 M Mesh Edition, which offers an even more eye-catching look together with expanded equipment that comes at an extra cost and will surely appeal especially to younger buyers.
Aesthetically, the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition is based on the M Sport X model and, whichever way you look at it, it will undoubtedly turn heads. On the outside, its standard paint option is Brooklyn Grey, which pairs perfectly with the orange vinyl graphics fitted to the bonnet, a small section of the front and rear bumpers and the front and rear doors. It should be noted that if you don’t like these vinyls, you can ask for them to be left off, and the same applies to the body paint, with a choice of Alpine White, Phytonic Blue metallic or Sunset Orange metallic (with some of these colours the vinyls become black).

This overall look is complemented by the Shadow Line pack, included as standard, which features several high-gloss black elements such as the exhaust tips, the ring surrounding the BMW logo on the tailgate and the front grille surround. The grille, it should be noted, is inspired by the one on the X2 M35i and includes a mesh with a three-dimensional pattern. Another colour appearing on the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition bodywork is the new Frozen Black-Brown metallic, found on the front bumper mouldings, the side door panels, the wheel arches and the rear diffuser. The final touch is provided by the wheels, available in 19 or 20 inches, both with the same design and details in the same colour as the body vinyls.
Upon entering, when you open the driver’s door, a projection of the X2 logo will appear on the floor, and immediately you will be welcomed by door sill mouldings bearing the word “Edition”. Standard equipment includes the M sports seats with integrated headrests, upholstered in Dakota leather in Mocha with Anthracite Alcantara details and contrasting orange stitching. This colour and material combination is also found on the door panels, the centre tunnel, the armrest and the lower part of the dashboard.

The interior changes don’t stop there. As on the exterior, they come with small details that complete the look of the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition. These include aluminium inserts, stainless steel footrests and pedals, floor mats with orange edging and an M sports steering wheel, a hallmark of the brand’s sportier models, which is also engraved on the gear lever of the manual versions and on the car key itself.
Mechanically, the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition can be fitted with a range of diesel engines comprising three variants, from 150 CV up to 231 CV, and two petrol variants of 136 CV or 178 CV, as well as the X2 xDrive25e plug-in hybrid version producing 225 CV.
