The new Ford Puma will arrive on June 26
The new Ford Puma will make its debut on June 26. It will be Mild-Hybrid and will have a combined output of 155 CV.

The new Ford Puma will arrive on June 26 and the brand with the oval has just officially confirmed the launch of the Ford Puma. The announcement was published on the brand’s social media and takes the form of a somewhat blurry video clip that, for now, reveals nothing about the design of the brand’s new crossover.
The Romanian branch of the brand with the oval was the earliest, but gradually the rest of the subsidiaries have been presenting the new teaser for the Ford Puma.
Unlike its predecessor, which had a coupé shape with a style based on the legendary Ford Fiesta, manufactured from 1997 to 2002, the new Ford Puma will adopt the shape of a small crossover. It is based on the latest subcompact hatchback of its generation and will sit between the Ford EcoSport and the Ford Kuga, promising a very generous boot space, reaching 456 litres and which, according to the brand with the oval, will be the class leader.
A few weeks ago there were rumours that the new small crossover from Ford was already ready to go into production before the end of this year, and some sources claimed its presence was confirmed at the next Frankfurt Motor Show held in September. Now all of that is behind us, as the brand with the blue oval has announced that its official presentation will take place on June 26.

Ford Puma 2020, the coupé changes shape
The Ford Puma 2020 will be powered by a mild-hybrid powertrain, or Mild-Hybrid, which uses the 1.0-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine with a 48-volt belt-driven starter/generator integrated. This powertrain will be capable of delivering a combined output of 155 CV, or 114 kW.
A few months after its presentation, the new range of the legendary coupé turned crossover will be joined by further powertrains. The one most likely to reach the market is a 1.5-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost engine capable of producing 200 CV, or 147 kW. This option is already found in the current Ford Fiesta ST, in what would be the top variant, whose debut is expected before the end of this same year.

The new Ford Puma 2020 will be manufactured in Romania, specifically at the manufacturer’s facilities in Craiova. This is the plant where the Ford B-Max was assembled until 2017. The facilities, which have received investments worth almost 1.5 billion euros over the last eleven years, also produce some of the models that make up the current Ford EcoSport range.
The new small crossover from Ford that will make its debut on June 26 will have to face rivals such as the Nissan Juke, the Peugeot 2008, which has just undergone a restyling, and the Renault Captur. According to the brand, the new Ford Puma will “present an athletic and desirable style like its namesake.”
