The new Porsche 911 now has an arrival date: on November 28th it will make its presence felt

Porsche has just confirmed that November 28th will be the day its new 911 is unveiled to the entire world, allowing us to learn all of its details.

Set aside all the events or appointments planned for the rest of the month and mark November 28th in your calendar with a big heart, since that is the arrival date of the new Porsche 911. That’s right, the people from Stuttgart have confirmed through their social media that the eighth generation of their iconic sports car is ready to reveal its face and its main new features. This moment has been a long time coming, since after countless spy videos and the occasional wink from Porsche, we can finally put an end to this wait.

This new generation of the 911 arrives stronger than ever, with a series of innovations that promise to revolutionize the concept we had of this model until now. After observing how the Porsche sports car faced the harshest and most adverse situations, the engineers at the German firm decided that their new nine-eleven was ready to see the light and show the world what it can offer.

Porsche has used both its Facebook and its Twitter to tell us that the new 911 will arrive at the end of this month. At the same time, the German brand has also shared a brief but intense video in which we can hear the sound of its quintessential sports car and glimpse some attributes of its distinctive silhouette. Even so, we must admit that Porsche has kept its composure and its mystery until the very end, since very little is known about the eighth-generation 911.

In terms of styling, we can expect -as the test mules had already hinted- a slightly more rectangular front end with crisper lines, which evoke the iconic design of the 911 993. The rear will adopt the new light signature being applied across its siblings, which is characterized by a single strip linking both ends. The diffuser will also feature more rectangular lines and, last but not least, there will be a retractable spoiler in the style of the Panamera crowning the rear.

The mechanical side remains shrouded in a dense haze of mystery and uncertainty, since Porsche has not released official data on the engines that will power the different variants of the new 911. We can infer that there will be a wide range of turbo engines, and even a hybrid version could be included, but everything suggests that the engineers in Stuttgart have chosen to keep the naturally aspirated engines intact for the upcoming GT3 and GT3 RS.

So far these are speculations, but we won’t have to wait long to learn in great detail all the features and characteristics of the eighth-generation Porsche 911. In this way, the German firm enters the sports car segment with more force than ever, where its new 911 arrives with great strength and determination to offer a tough competition to its main rivals.
