Leon SEAT Coches GLP/GNC Compact Family
The new SEAT León with the 130 PS 1.5 TGI engine can now be ordered in Spain
SEAT expands the León range with the arrival of the 130 CV 1.5 TGI engine, which qualifies for the DGT ECO environmental label

Even though we are constantly bombarded with new hybrid, plug-in hybrid or fully electric models, there are still other alternatively powered vehicles that also do not qualify for the DGT ECO label. These are vehicles powered by CNG or LPG, models that are increasingly growing in presence in Spain and in which SEAT and Skoda are the main leaders.
It is precisely SEAT that now announces a new proposal in this direction, which has already started sales in our country: the León with the 1.5 TGI engine for use with CNG. This model joins the Ibiza and Arona powered by the 1.0 TGI and, for the León TGI, we have available a power output of 130 CV together with a torque of 200 Nm, which can be managed through a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed DSG automatic, the latter being the only option available for the Sportstourer body.

The SEAT León TGI has three compressed natural gas tanks with a total capacity of 17.3 kg, giving this fuel a range of 440 km. In addition, should all the gas run out, there is a petrol tank with a capacity of 9 litres so we are not left stranded. As for consumption, the five-door body with manual gearbox registers around 4.1 kg/100 km and CO2 emissions of 112 g/km, while with the DSG gearbox it rises slightly to 4.3 kg/100 km and 118 g/km; the Sportstourer estate body with DSG gearbox shows figures of 4.4 kg/100 km and CO2 emissions of 120 g/km.
In terms of trim levels, the SEAT León TGI will be available in three trims, which offer as standard equipment including the following elements:
- Style: Digital Cockpit instrument cluster, wireless Full Link system, rear parking sensors, LED fog lights with Cornering function, LED interior pack, light and rain sensor, and Coming & Leaving Home function, or 16-inch alloy wheels among others.

- Xcellence: In addition to the previous equipment, it adds elements such as Full LED front headlights and LED rear lights, three-zone automatic climate control, KESSY keyless entry system, folding mirrors with the passenger mirror lowering function when parking, or 17-inch wheels.
- FR: Sporty exterior styling with specific bumpers, FR-specific upholstery, infotainment system with navigation and maps on a 10-inch touchscreen, or the SEAT Drive Profile among others.
The new SEAT León 1.5 TGI, which as I mentioned can now be ordered in Spain, starts at a price of 26,250 euros for the five-door body with the Style trim and manual gearbox, and for the Sportstourer body, it starts from 29,110 euros, also with the Style trim and DSG automatic transmission.
