The Pininfarina Sergio will be built, and all the units have already been sold.

From the moment Ferrari presented the Pininfarina Sergio prototype at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, information about its production began to circulate. This week, the Italian brand has finally confirmed to the American magazine Road & Track that the car will indeed be built. However, it will not go on sale, because all the units have already been allocated.
Ferrari will produce six examples of the Pininfarina Sergio, each of which was sold in advance to especially selected customers by the manufacturer. The process is very similar to the one used in the marketing of the F60America. If the model commemorating the brand’s sixtieth anniversary in North America costs around two million euros, the Sergio is expected to be just as expensive or even more so.
The Pininfarina Sergio was one of the ways in which Ferrari paid tribute to the man who was head of the company that bears his name for forty years and who died in July 2012. It is a very aerodynamic and futuristic two-seat roadster based on the Ferrari 458 Spider.
The brand has not specified whether the production versions will differ in construction or bodywork from the prototype, but Road & Track states that they are most likely to be identical. The growing number of this type of product that Ferrari has been building in recent years reflects its new commercial strategy, in which such vehicles have gained importance compared with previous decades.
