The Porsche 911 GT2 will arrive in March

With the launch of the Porsche 911 Turbo/Turbo S and the 911 GT3, the 911 family is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Targa variant and the GT2, the beloved GT, the most radical model of Porsche, a supercar capable of driving even the most experienced drivers to the limit thanks to its powerful turbocharged engine and rear-wheel drive.
At the Geneva Motor Show in 2014, Porsche will officially present the new generation of the 911 GT2, one year after the GT3 debuted at the international event. Following the 911 GT2, Porsche will unveil the GT2 RS in 2015, a road-legal hypercar built for racing. For the latter, the twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine is expected to increase its output to 630 CV, 10 more than in the 997 generation.

The Porsche 911 GT2 (991) will once again use the 3.8-litre engine from the Turbo S and, like it, the GT2 will maintain 560 CV. Power will be sent to the rear axle through a automatic gearbox with dual-clutch and seven ratios, which the brand already introduced a few months ago with the GT3. This signals the end of manual transmissions in the most powerful engines of the range. It will also feature four-wheel steering.
It will complete the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 3 seconds thanks to a drastic weight reduction compared to the Turbo S, and its top speed will be set at 322 km/h.
