The Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package makes its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show

The Porsche 911 GT3 debuts the Touring Package to mark the 67th Frankfurt International Motor Show. It offers sportiness and purism in equal measure.

The Porsche 911 GT3 debuts the Touring Package to mark the 67th Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA). The name is taken from the 1973 model of an equipment variant of the 911 Carrera RS. Almost all options for the 911 GT3 are also available in combination with the Touring Package. These include all exterior and wheel colours, PCCB ceramic brakes, LED headlights, all seat variants, the Chrono Package or the audio systems.

The bodywork remains almost untouched, with the exception of the rear. Notable features include the large front air intakes designed specifically for this model, the front and rear light units are identical but not in dark finish, and the forged alloy wheels with central lock fixing. The rear changes include a retractable spoiler fitted with an aerodynamic profile in body colour. The rear engine cover with cooling louvres is specially designed and carries the “GT3 touring” logo. Other distinctive details of this version are the silver side window frames, the same tone as the sport exhaust tailpipes and the headlight washer covers, as well as the Porsche logo on the rear. In the Touring Package Exterior Black equipment option, these elements are finished in black, as on the 911 GT3, and the front and rear lights are darkened.

The interior continues the same sportiness seen on the exterior. Leather takes precedence over Alcantara, featuring on the steering wheel, gear lever, door panel armrests, the centre console storage lid and the interior door handles. The centre of the seats is black cloth and the headrests carry the Porsche logo embossed in relief. The black aluminium trim gives the whole ensemble a distinctive touch.

The powerful naturally aspirated 4.0-litre six-cylinder boxer engine produces 500 CV, a figure worth noting, as it makes it one of the most powerful and largest-displacement direct-injection naturally aspirated engines Porsche has developed for road use. The Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package will be available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.

The chassis offers excellent cornering behaviour, thanks above all to the active rear-axle steering. Depending on speed, the rear wheels can turn in the same direction as the front wheels or in the opposite direction, to improve the vehicle’s agility and stability.

It also incorporates systems such as the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with online navigation module and real-time traffic information, and includes the Connect Plus module and the Porsche Track Precision app. This app allows the driver to display, record and analyse driving data in detail on their mobile phone.

The Touring Package option is now available with a final price in Spain of 175,437 euros, the same as the 911 GT3 without this option.
