Porsche Taycan Sedans Electric Cars
The Porsche Taycan RWD has been unveiled in China
The most affordable version of the luxury electric saloon, the Porsche Taycan RWD, will for now be sold only in the Chinese market and for around 112,000 euros

With a single motor, a maximum output of 476 CV and rear-wheel drive, one could hardly complain about a Porsche. That is the essence of the basic configuration of the Porsche Taycan RWD that has been presented in China and, for now, for China only.
A more modest and simpler variant derived from the Porsche Taycan 4S, and so far, in markets other than China, the most affordable version of the luxury electric saloon, since the price of the Porsche Taycan RWD starts at 888,000 yuan, equivalent to about 112,000 euros.
A price for the Porsche Taycan RWD Performance Battery, the simplest version, which has a 79.2 kWh battery, the same as the Taycan 4S, but which allows a range of up to 414 km.
For its part, the other version, the Porsche Taycan RWD Performance Battery Plus, increases its energy storage capacity thanks to a 93.4 kW battery and a range of up to 489 km; in both cases the range is an official figure under the now-defunct NEDC cycle.
With a regenerative capacity of 265 kW when the G-forces reach a magnitude of 0.39, charging the car can be done from an 11 kW AC power outlet, and a 22 kW AC charger is offered as an option.
Be that as it may, this version, which takes the aforementioned Taycan 4S as its base, has been simplified to offer a car that, in the best case thanks to the overboost system, can deliver up to 476 CV and that practically replicates the external and internal configuration of the 4S mentioned above.
So much so that, at first, only the ochre colour and the contrasting wheels are specific to this variant which, despite being launched in China, will not be available outside the country in Asia.
Although there has been no flat denial, Porsche acknowledges that the possibility of launching it in other markets is being studied, but it has not been indicated which ones, and it could be relegated to emerging economies.
