The Ram 1500 SRT TRX is back to prove that horsepower still matters
The Ram 1500 SRT TRX returns in 2027 as a more powerful and efficient version, offering more versatility and working capability to remain a benchmark.

The Ram 1500 is one of the most impressive work vehicles you can enjoy on the American market. And within the model range we find several versions, with features that make it a very special vehicle. One of those versions was called SRT, which was discontinued a few years ago. But in 2027 it will return in a new incarnation that promises to bring power and versatility back to this model.
With this return, the Ram 1500 SRT TRX has become the pick-up with the most powerful petrol-engined production in its range in history, which is no small feat. Not long ago the 6.2-litre Hemi V8 turbo engine was unveiled, but a variant has been created that delivers 777 CV of power and 981 Nm of torque.

This engine even surpasses the TRX Final Edition, with 76 CV more power than that engine, despite being slightly smaller. It also outperforms the F-150 Raptor R in both power and torque, another benchmark pick-up on the American market. The latter has a 5.2-litre turbocharged V8 engine delivering 720 CV and 867 Nm of torque.
There are not many details about the new model, but it is known that it is equipped with a 2.4-litre turbo and a dual-path intake system. This draws fresh air from outside through the side, thanks to the grille opening and the air intake located in the centre of the bonnet. The airflows converge in a radiator filter, which optimises this flow and increases air volume, performance and durability.

The engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, although it offers full manual control. The active transfer case has several configurations: 4WD Auto, 4WD High and 4WD Low. In addition, six driving modes have been incorporated: Auto, Sport, Snow, Tow, Mud and Baja.
A robust and attractive design
The design has been carefully considered to demonstrate that this is a robust vehicle capable of tackling the toughest jobs. The grille features the SRT badge, accompanied by the RAM logo in red, with a fluid design. The bonnet has a sporty design and LED clearance lights, a technology also present in the headlights, which are framed by satin-black bezels.

The steel front bumper has an integrated skid plate. Red tow hooks and rearward-angled fog lights have been fitted. The design is recognisable, although this variant is 173 mm wider than the standard version. The larger wheel arches and their protector design help give a distinctive and more personalised look.
At the rear, new exhaust outlets have been fitted, along with details that set it apart from all other variants. The 18-inch wheels also define the character of the vehicle and give it a more powerful appearance.
Technological and comfortable interior
Inside we find the latest equipment fitted to the model, with a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.5-inch central screen, more efficient than the previous equipment. Comfort is ensured by seats designed to offer ease and a pleasant experience on every journey.
