The Renault Filante Record 2025 is the electric prototype with which the brand aims to break records
The Renault Filante Record 2025 is intended to be the prototype that breaks the range and consumption record, while also serving to test the brand’s technology.

Renault wants to break several records with the Renault Filante Record 2025. Not exactly the speed record, but the consumption and range records, thanks to a very carefully studied aerodynamic shape and highly advanced technological equipment. Moreover, they are not going to settle for this; they will think of this electric prototype as a laboratory on wheels.
It measures 5,120 millimetres in length, 1,740 millimetres in width and only 1,190 millimetres in height. With these dimensions, it will be easy for it to overcome aerodynamic drag, which is vital for meeting its planned objectives. Weight will also help, since it weighs only 1,000 kg, which is not bad considering that 60% of this weight corresponds to the battery.

Exterior of the Renault Filante Record 2025
In terms of styling, the Filante Record 2025 recalls the test vehicles Renault launched previously in pursuit of speed records. This time the intentions are different, but the goal is the same: to demonstrate that they can break with convention and to show that its battery technology is the most efficient on the market.

The shape of the test vehicle has been designed to offer the minimum aerodynamic drag, and specific tyres have been used to achieve maximum range during the test. Everything is prepared to exceed the range on a single charge. The materials have been chosen carefully so that everything works perfectly to obtain the desired results.
Interior technology
There are other technological details that underline the importance of this prototype, such as the steering and transmission by wire, that is, with no mechanical connection to the vehicle. The steering wheel has an unusual shape and includes the accelerator and brake, so there are no pedals to operate. The driver will sit in a hammock-style seat, which adapts to the shape of the body and offers the necessary comfort during the test.
The test model uses the battery mounted on the Renault Scenic E-Tech. It is a battery pack of 87 kWh that had to be redesigned to fit the particular shape of the Filate Record 2025. As for the motors and their power, Renault has not yet revealed any information, so we will have to wait to see what this concept model will offer.
