The Renault Megane RS Trophy turns into a taxi with a V6 engine

Renault has launched a new promotional video in which a Megane RS Trophy becomes the star of the streets of Paris. So far it may all seem normal, but what happens when we forget about the four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive to make way for a V6 that sends its power to the rear axle?
The video, created as part of the French brand’s “retame si puedes” campaign, shows a racing car, with its spoilers, roll cage, racing harnesses and scissor doors, performing drifts through the streets of the French capital while carrying all kinds of passengers as a taxi.
This peculiar Renault Megane RS Trophy has discarded the original 250 hp of the production model in favour of a 3.5-litre V6 engine, mid-rear mounted, capable of delivering 400 hp and 422 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. It is connected to a six-speed sequential gearbox.
Furthermore, in the final part of the video, the film crew compares, while stationary for a few seconds, the road version with the competition version. As expected, the differences between the two are spectacular, starting with the height.
