The Renault ZOE gets a "handsome" look with this update

The successful Renault ZOE faces what may be the end of its life cycle, as the brand prepares an offensive of new electric models, and the city electric car could stop being sold within a couple of years. In the meantime, it holds the title of best-selling electric car in Europe over the last decade, with 380,000 units sold cumulatively through May.

Now, the Renault ZOE receives a slight update, aimed at refreshing its image and making it more attractive. These are minor changes, which the brand has just announced for the French market, but which should not take long to reach the Spanish market, and which mainly affect the equipment.

For example, the entry-level versions, called equilibre, include emergency braking assist, 22 kW charger, keyless card entry and start system, air conditioning, a 7-inch multimedia screen, and the model identification on the exterior in titanium finish, with a new E-TECH badge.

In France, the next trim level is the evolution, which adds traffic sign recognition system, unintentional lane change warning, lane keeping assist, parking sensors, navigation system, new 16-inch diamond-effect alloy wheels and climate control.

For the top-of-the-range trim, called iconic, the wheels become 17 inches, with gold-coloured exterior body elements and a “sticker” on the upper part of the doors. The interior features upholstery made from recycled materials, and the multimedia screen reaches 9.3 inches. A new body colour, called Shadow Grey, is also added as an option.
