The renewed Mercedes-AMG E 63s spied ahead of time with major changes
The renewed Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be one of the main highlights at the Geneva Motor Show, but its AMG variant has already leaked out without camouflage.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is not only one of the flagship models of the brand, but also one of its most successful products. The star brand, aware of this, has decided to give it a restyling that promises important new features. A few days ago, we witnessed the new prototype that will be used to introduce the renewed E-Class, a model that will also undergo changes in its AMG variant, which has been spotted without any type of camouflage, showing off some relatively minor details and flaunting its muscular styling.
It is true that rumors suggest the German firm will forgo the glorious twin-turbo V8 in favor of a more environmentally committed four-cylinder. However, everything points to the new Mercedes-AMG E 63s continuing to use this illustrious engine, which to date has powered the latest batch of the brand’s performance vehicles—with the exception of the A 35 and 45 AMG.
It is true that the leaked image is not of the best possible quality, but it is good enough to distinguish certain features of this new E 63s. At first glance, we notice that the characteristic muscle of this sports sedan is still present through more prominent wheel arches and an imposing rear end.

The rear—the only part visible in the photograph—is still guarded by a quad rectangular exhaust outlet that promises to continue delivering a thunderous soundtrack. However, it is the new-look taillights that truly capture our attention, showing a much fresher and more modern styling that will set a new design language within the brand.
These are now wider and longer, which quickly reminds us of the appearance of the taillights used on the current A-Class and B-Class. However, although the front will also undergo changes in the same vein, what really interests us is the mechanical side, which will most likely still be powered by the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 but producing even more power.

Be that as it may, we are about to learn all the details of this renewed Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a vehicle that will be a world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. This is how the company behind it prepares to keep facing the tough battle taking place in the sedan segment, a segment that seemed to be being consumed by SUVs but which, fortunately, continues to put up a fight.
