Citigo Skoda Range / versions Urban
The Škoda Citigo gets an update for the arrival of spring

Following the arrival of the new Škoda Octavia in all its versions with a major change to its styling, the rest of the Czech brand’s models are gradually adopting the new look. The next to change it, both inside and out, is the Škoda Citigo, a clear improvement for the smallest and most affordable city car in the Škoda range.
You may like it or not, but what is undeniable is that the aesthetic changes suit the Škoda Citigo perfectly, now offering a much younger and more modern look, which also brings it closer to the design line Škoda is applying. As you can see, the main changes focus on the front, with a new bumper that features a different design for the fog lights, while the main lights now incorporate LED daytime running lights, as well as a new bonnet and grille with Škoda’s new design.
The trim levels available on the Škoda Citigo are Easy, Active, Ambition and Style, not forgetting the two editions Monte Carlo and Fun that come with numerous customisable accessories. Note that for the Ambition and Style levels the roof and mirror housings can now be painted white or black, while individually, the Ambition trim now offers tinted rear lights and, in the Style trim, we will have new 15-inch alloy wheels in silver or anthracite and a new body colour called Kiwi Green.

The interior design has not received major changes, although it should be said that the speedometer, rev counter and fuel gauge have been redesigned and will be available in two different versions, while the instrument panel will be available in two new colours for the higher trim levels. It should also be said that its occupants will enjoy greater comfort thanks to the 34mm increase in length, while in the 5-door version the width and height remain at 1,645mm and 1,478mm respectively. Boot capacity is 251 litres, a figure that rises to 951 litres if the rear seats are folded down.
Turning now to equipment, its occupants will have greater connectivity options with the Škoda Citigo thanks to the new versions of the Swing and Blues radios; in fact, the Swing radio is now available with a full-colour screen, Bluetooth system and six speakers. Move&Fun will also be available, an app that, once our smartphone is connected via Bluetooth, lets us operate the infotainment system from the phone, and it will naturally be available for both iOS and Android.
But the Škoda Citigo, despite being a small city car, can be equipped with several safety systems such as the City Safe Drive automatic braking function, as well as other features like rain and light sensors that make driving easier. In addition, as with any Škoda vehicle, the Simply Clever solutions are also available on the Citigo, with various compartments for different functions or even an umbrella under the passenger seat.

As for the engines, three three-cylinder units will be available. The smallest of them is the 1.0 MPI producing 60 CV and 95 Nm of torque, while the most powerful version is also the 1.0 MPI but in this case with 75 CV and the same torque. The third engine is an adaptation for use with compressed natural gas (CNG), delivering 68 CV. All variants will be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, Start&Stop function and energy recovery system.
It will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show, and sales will begin next spring.
