The T.32 by Gordon Murray, unveiled by Toray Industries Inc.

Comparing the Murray T.25, which dates from last year, with this T.32, it seems we are starting to understand each other. We have gone from an electric city car to another electric model that at least shows signs of being a two-seater with a slightly more conventional look, closer to Murray’s past as a Formula 1 single-seater designer.

What sets this T.32 – also known as the Teewave AR.1 – apart is that it is a direct work by Murray, but commissioned by Toray Industries Inc, a company specialising in carbon modelling that wanted to enter the car design world.

The T.32 carries the heart of the Mitsubishi iMiev, so they did not go to great lengths to look for powertrains. It seems more like a whim to create an electric car than anything else, although if Gordon Murray has agreed to this, there must be some other commercial details that have not yet been revealed.
