The Tesla Model S 40 kWh will not arrive in Europe

About a month ago we announced that the Tesla Model S had already arrived in Europe and that it would not be long before its sales began. At first, we all expected that the three different variants would be sold, but, apparently, Tesla will only sell the 60 and 85 kWh options in Europe, leaving aside the smallest of the family, the 40 kWh one.

The reason for this is, evidently, the low demand this version would have. In addition, rumours are circulating that, in a short time, the model with the 40 kWh battery will disappear from the range, leaving only the 60 kWh version, which would be the base model, and the 85 kWh one, while a battery with greater capacity, such as a 120 kWh one, is expected to arrive, which would offer up to 650 kilometres of range.

These rumours are confirmed by the use of Superchargers, since the 40 kWh and even the 60 kWh packs are incompatible with them, a significant handicap given that one of the most important races currently underway in electric motoring is to reduce charging time… So, in a couple of years, we could see even the 60 kWh version disappear, who knows.

The only thing that is clear is that in a few months the Model S will be available in Europe for sale, although only with the 60 and 85 kWh versions.
