The Toyota GR GT3 is almost ready and will make its debut very soon

Although the competition version of this model is not yet known in detail, it is known that it will have a road version to enjoy as well.

The competition models can also have their road-going counterpart, a variant for everyday use. Even though it is a very powerful car with a spectacular design. This is the case of the new Lexus GR GT3, which is being developed by Toyota and Lexus and which is intended to renew the brand’s participation in the GT3 category. It is expected that once the competition model is launched, a street variant of the model will also exist.

For now, we do not know what this model has in store for us, since its production has not yet been made public, but given the characteristics of the category, a street variant of the model must exist. So while the brand is testing the competition model, it is also developing a more restrained version to sell it as a car homologated for the street.

Although there is no data about this street model, it is known that it will keep the same powertrain used by the competition car. It is a twin-turbo V8 engine. Although it is not clear, there is talk of incorporating some kind of electric hybridisation in the street model.

The power output of both variants is not yet known, although it must deliver at least around 650 CV, and could even exceed this figure and approach the 805 CV offered by the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 E Performance. Either way, it is expected to be the successor to the Lexus LC 500, capable of making a difference both on the track and on the road.

There are no images of the definitive model, although it is expected to be very similar to the one shown by the prototype. A long bonnet is expected, topped by a large front grille and aggressively designed LED headlights. At the rear, a large spoiler and rear lights with a design matching the front ones are expected.

We know nothing about the interior, so we will have to wait a little to get information about it. The expected date for this model to enter competition is 2026, so the road version will also be ready by that date.
