The Volkswagen T-Roc standard will only cost 1,000 euros more than a Golf
The Volkswagen T-Roc is now open for orders and has a starting price of 23,875 euros for the 1.0 TSI 115 CV engine, without discounts or promotions included.

The Volkswagen T-Roc is, alongside the new Polo, the most important launch from the Bavarian manufacturer in recent years. The compact crossover has bestseller potential: based on the successful Golf but with a more muscular and daring look, it has all the ingredients to become a benchmark in its segment.
This very week, Volkswagen launched a limited edition of the model, the T-Roc Limited Edition, which costs 39,900 euros. Luckily, you won’t have to dig too deep into your pocket to buy a copy of the crossover, since its starting price in Spain has been set at 23,875 euros.

It competes with models such as the SEAT Ateca or the Nissan Qashqai and is already open for reservations. The base price of the T-Roc stands at 23,875 euros, but the brand has announced that this price will be reduced once the usual promotions are applied. In fact, the Wolfsburg-based firm claims that its starting price will be just 1,000 euros higher than that of its smaller sibling, the Golf, once the aforementioned discounts are applied.
The most affordable version of the Golf – the 110 CV TSI petrol engine – currently costs 16,900 euros. Taking this as a reference, it would not be unreasonable to think that in a few months the T-Roc could be offered with the same powertrain for around 17,900 euros.

Whatever the case, the T-Roc can already be purchased for 23,875 euros with a 1.0 TSI 115 CV engine. This powertrain is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Although we do not know its price, the T-Roc is also offered with a 150 CV diesel engine. In the future, the crossover will three new engines: two diesel units (a 1.6 TDI of 115 CV and a 2.0 TDI of 150 CV) and one petrol (a 1.5 TSI of 150 CV).
