These are the five most sought-after electric quadricycles in Spain
Urban mobility has changed our needs when buying a car, so electric quadricycles for the city are becoming more popular

Urban mobility is gaining followers every day and there are more and more models designed for it. Electric quadricycles are one of them. Small vehicles of manageable size for the city, adequate performance for getting around it, and a top speed that only reaches 45 km/h. And they don’t need more, although some of them double that speed and must be driven with a B2 licence and, soon, with a B1.
In the Spanish market we find several of them, and the offer is expected to grow in the near future, with more models to choose from. Let’s review the five most sought-after models in our country, which are within reach of almost every budget and allow you to move freely around the city.

Renault Twizy
This is the longest-lasting electric quadricycle on the Spanish market. It is a two-seater model, with the seats in tandem, like a motorbike. The Renault Twizy has a range of up to 100 kilometres on the WLTP cycle and comes in two versions. The first offers 5 CV and a top speed of 45 km/h, while the more powerful one has 13 CV and a top speed of 80 km/h, so it can run on inter-urban roads.
The 7.2 kWh battery can be charged from a normal power socket in just three and a half hours. Its equipment is quite simple and includes a blanket for the driver and passenger. The boot is 31 litres and its price starts at 12,105 euros.

Citroën AMI
Citroën’s proposal has become one of the most sought-after, if not the most sought-after. It is a small urban vehicle with an irresistible price. For just 8,990 euros you can have a Citroën AMI. It has a 5.5 kWh battery, which allows it to travel a maximum of 75 kilometres with its 8.2 CV motor. It has a top speed of 45 km/h and its battery can be charged in about three hours.

Silence 04
Silence is a brand known for its electric motorbikes. This is its first four-wheeled vehicle and it has room for two people. It also has a small boot for carrying a small shopping bag or a suitcase or sports bag. It has a 5.6 kWh battery, although there is a higher version that uses two batteries, with which it reaches a power of 11.2 kWh.
As for motors, the entry-level version offers one of 6 kW, with a top speed of 45 km/h, while the more powerful one offers 14 kW and a top speed of 90 km/h, so it can also run on country roads. Its price starts at 7,500 euros without batteries. These can be maintained under a subscription of 20 euros a month, with access to Silence’s battery swap points.

Invicta D2S L7 Junior
This model has recently arrived on the market and is an electric quadricycle priced at 15,495 euros, making it the most expensive of all those we present in this article. The Invicta D2S L7 has a 9.6 kWh lithium-ion battery and a synchronous permanent-magnet motor offering a power of 16 CV. This gives it a range of 100 kilometres, which for urban driving is not bad.
The equipment is quite complete and includes a rear camera, air conditioning and hill-start assist.

Microlino 2.0
This is the last of them all to arrive. It is the evolution of the legendary Isetta and the one with the greatest range, with 250 kilometres and a top speed of 90 km/h. It is available with three batteries. The first one offers 6 kWh, the intermediate one 10.5 kWh and a third one of 14 kWh. The range of each of them is 95, 175 and 230 kilometres, respectively.
The Microlino 2.0 also offers a 230-litre boot and fairly comprehensive equipment. Its price is 12,500 euros for the entry-level range.
These five electric quadricycles are the most popular at the moment in our country, although surely there will soon be others that may be of interest.
