Peugeot continues its firm commitment to the electrification of the European market with the launch of the long-range versions of its most iconic SUVs, the Peugeot E-3008 and Peugeot E-5008. As of today, the brand officially opens orders for these new variants, which stand out for their innovative technology and a record-breaking range: the E-3008 reaches 700 km and the E-5008 offers 668 km on the WLTP combined cycle, with prices starting from €49,660 for the most basic version.

These models, assembled at the Sochaux plant (France) and equipped with batteries manufactured at the Douvrin gigafactory, are the first in the Stellantis group to incorporate “Made in France” battery technology. Thanks to their STLA Medium platform, designed specifically for electric vehicles, the Peugeot SUVs offer not only greater energy capacity but also maintain the same interior and boot space as the hybrid and combustion versions.

The 230 CV electric motor (170 kW) and the 96.9 kWh battery are more than sufficient for both urban journeys and long trips. According to the brand, the E-3008 could make a trip from Bilbao to Málaga with just two charging stops, which undoubtedly makes them an attractive option for long-distance travel.

Fast charging

One of the strong points of these new versions is their fast charging capability. At supercharger stations, they can accept up to 160 kW of power, which allows recovering up to 150 km of range in just 10 minutes, or going from 20% to 80% charge in 27 minutes. In addition, they benefit from battery preconditioning, a system that optimizes charging times in cold climates or on long trips, ensuring consistent performance in any situation.

An offer for every taste: from Allure to GT

Peugeot offers the long-range versions of the E-3008 and E-5008 in two trim levels, Allure and GT, at prices starting from €49,660 for the E-3008 Allure and €51,660 for the E-5008 Allure. The better-equipped GT versions are priced at €54,310 and €56,310, respectively.

The E-3008 Long Range will be presented to the public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show 2024, from October 14 to 20, where it is expected to draw attention with its innovative fastback SUV design and Peugeot’s well-known Panoramic i-Cockpit, which provides an immersive driving experience.

For its part, the E-5008 stands out as the only fully electric SUV in its segment that can carry up to 7 passengers with a notable long-range capability, making it an excellent option for families.

Towards electric leadership in Europe

With the ambition of becoming the leader in electric vehicles in Europe, Peugeot is not content with these launches alone. The brand has announced that its electric range will continue to expand in the coming months, including the arrival of a high-performance version with all-wheel drive, called the 320 Dual Motor AWD, which promises a higher level of power and off-road capability.

To date, the new 3008 has already recorded more than 67,000 orders in Europe, consolidating its success in the market, while the first sales of the E-5008 also reflect strong demand, which has led Peugeot to increase production at its French plant.
