This add-on turns the Tesla Cybertruck into a practical camper vehicle

Certainly, Tesla needs some good news. Results over the last few months have not been as satisfactory as expected, and they need something to help them regain sales. This won’t make Tesla Cybertruck sell more, but it could be a good incentive for those who already enjoy one of the brand’s electric pick-ups to get more out of them.

Manufacturers of add-ons for the Cybertruck have been appearing on the market, and Space Camper is one of them. Its proposal is a module that fits the rear bed of the pick-up and turns it into a comfortable resting area during outdoor getaways.

A module designed specifically for the Cybertruck

This module turns the pick-up into a vehicle with a closed bed, closer to an SUV or a van than to its original form. It adds 13 centimeters of height to the roof, which gives the bed a height of 101 centimeters. It has been designed in black, but if the buyer prefers another colour, there is a range available that offers other shades.

It is prepared to be used with different anchoring elements, so it can be used with any of them and allows a very high degree of customisation. It is also compatible with all the usual roof tent and pop-up awning models, so that users can choose the one that best suits the needs and tastes of the Cybertruck owner.

The interior dimensions allow for a large mattress and even a projector to enjoy favourite films and series during the outdoor getaway. There is even a portable shower kit for maximum comfort during trips to the mountains or the beach.

The removable roof for the rear of the Cybertruck weighs 77 kg without extras. That said, range is compromised by between 4% and 9%, although these figures are approximate. This supplementary roof withstands loads of 122 kg while driving and 295 kg when parked, so it is sufficient for sleeping on top of it.

Delivery dates… in the United States

The Cybertruck is still a vehicle only for the United States, so this add-on is only sold in that country. It has a base price of 6,385 dollars, although this may rise depending on the add-ons chosen, such as fans, a specific mattress, ambient lighting and many more things to turn the electric pick-up into a good option for getting around on leisure getaways.

It is expected that if the model arrives in Europe on a large scale, this option will be available. And if not, don’t worry, because surely some European company will offer similar equipment.
