The BMW M4 is an ideal sports car for drifting, a view shared by Danique Aelaerts. This young Belgian driver is able to slide with great mastery.

The track, a place idolised by many and hated by a few but which always means freedom to unleash our car. This is what Danique Aelaerts thinks, a young Belgian who declares herself a lover of the motoring world and, at the same time, of drifting. To live up to the passion Danique feels, she has a nickname she has truly earned, as she is better known as Drift Girl. To prove it, she got behind the wheel of a full BMW M4 and did what she likes most: drifting from side to side.

The world of drifting is, without a doubt, a very curious sector of motorsport, as well as a complicated one. This young woman proves to be a true driving master, since she keeps the M4 drifting to perfection, a car ideally suited to this task. But, in case that were not enough, the German sports car has some very special features.

The unit driven by Danique Aelaerts, is specifically an BMW M4 Competition with the M Performance Pack. Thanks to this package, the German sports car gets some parts that not only give it a much more aggressive look but also considerably improve its aerodynamics. On the one hand, we find a large rear spoiler reminiscent of the one seen on the more radical version of the M4, the GTS.

We also notice a carbon-fibre front bumper flanked by two large air intakes. The wheels have been replaced by much lighter 19-inch multi-spoke rims, considerably helping the M4 shed weight. Various carbon-fibre parts also contribute to the goal of reducing weight. But the really interesting part is under the bonnet of the German sports car.

The German heart that brings the M4 to life is a powerful inline six-cylinder capable of producing 431 CV of power and an impressive 550 Nm of torque. At the same time, all of that output is sent directly to the rear axle, which allows the rear end of the M4 -and therefore of the M3- to slide around with relative ease.

Danique Aelaerts knows how to make the most of this highly effective setup, and manages to perform drifts that are hypnotic for the viewer. The most impressive thing is that she makes it look even simple, when drifting with such fluidity is a very difficult task.
