This is how the new Hyundai Elantra N sounds
The arrival of the Hyundai Elantra N is getting closer and closer. We already know what its engine sounds like!

On July 14, the Hyundai Elantra N will make its official debut at 9:30 a.m., South Korea time. The Korean manufacturer has whetted our appetite with a short teaser video showing the design lines of the long-awaited high-performance model, the launch date and, most appealing of all, its engine sound.
However, the short video released by Hyundai also shows a series of two- and three-letter abbreviations scattered across the model. For now, the meaning of these acronyms has not been confirmed, but everything suggests they refer to the various driver assistance systems. For example, the letters ELSD on the steering wheel could point to an electronic limited-slip differential, while ETM could stand for an electronic traction management system on the Hyundai Elantra N.

This is how the Hyundai Elantra N could look
Last June, the brand gave us a glimpse of the front and rear of what will be its next flagship. Those images also revealed the exhaust outlets, the now-classic blue colour, and of course the wheels. The brand is playing its cards close to its chest and building plenty of intrigue around the model, as last week it published another short video showing the Nürburgring circuit sketched in pen.

Is it trying to tell us that the future Hyundai Elantra N already holds the lap record at the legendary German circuit? We will have to wait a little longer to learn all the details.

Although not all the details have been made official, everything points to the new Hyundai Elantra N being powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder inline engine that could deliver around 275 CV of power. It will be available with a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic. Do you want one too? It’s hard not to.
