Toyota Proace Lerina, Wellhouse Leisure's proposal for spending the night in the countryside
Campervans are fashionable and increasingly successful, so this company has converted the Toyota Verso Proace into one of these camping models

Fans of enjoying the outdoors and traveling often have an alternative to hotels and large motorhomes: vans adapted as small homes. Campervan vans are very popular, and one that has just been presented is the Toyota Proace Lerina, a van adapted by Wellhouse Leisure in the United Kingdom, turning it into a more than acceptable solution for anyone who prefers to enjoy hours at the wheel and rest in any corner.
The name of this converted model comes from the Lerins Islands, off the French Riviera, and the company wants it to capture that bohemian and attractive spirit. Furthermore, according to the brand itself, it is a campervan that can be used all year round, even in winter, thanks to thermal insulation that allows you to enjoy the nights without suffering from low temperatures.

The pop-up roof can be fitted with a double bed. It also has kitchen elements, such as a sink and a gas stove, which help make life more comfortable during camping days. It also has a water tank and a 25-litre fridge to keep drinks and everything we want to store nice and cool. A portable toilet completes the facilities of this campervan, in case you prefer not to leave traces across the countryside.

The front seats can swivel to face the rear, and the rear seats convert into a double bed, so this van can seat four people comfortably. As an option, the Toyota Proace Lerina can have two more seats to increase the number of occupants. It features a 100 W solar panel and a small battery. It also has a 2.2 kW heater and can optionally be equipped with an awning with LED lights.

The base model includes 17-inch wheels, folding side mirrors, a TFT screen to control the infotainment system, and several driver assistance features. As for the engine, it uses a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, available in two power outputs. The first is 120 CV and is paired with a manual gearbox, while the other offers 180 CV and has an automatic gearbox.
The bad news is that, at least for now, it will not be distributed outside the United Kingdom, although they may consider selling it in the rest of the continent if it becomes the success they expect. Certainly, it would be a very good idea for them to look at Spain, where this type of vehicle is becoming increasingly popular.
