Tuning: Brabus 700 4x4 Final Edition, better than a Mercedes G 63?

Brabus presents a limited edition of 10 units built on the Mercedes-AMG G 63, boosted to 690 CV, priced at 209,000 euros… before taxes.

When price is no object, turning to the specialists at Brabus to improve what seems impossible becomes a winning bet. The German engineers prove it once again with their latest creation, the Brabus 700 4×4§h7Lamborghinih8§ Final Edition.

Improving a Mercedes-AMG G 63 is something only the engineers and technicians at Brabus can achieve, who have spent years preparing models from the star brand. Remember that we are talking about a car that is already unique from the factory. Simply put, there is no other high-performance 4×4 that can keep up with the AMG G 63 once the asphalt runs out.

Of course, conversely, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 cannot confidently be measured against SUVs that are not averse to a circuit, such as the Lamborghini Urus, despite having 585 CV. We saw them in action in a race pitting the Urus, the G 63, a Tesla Model X and a Range Rover SVR against each other.

From 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds

What has Brabus done to the AMG G 63? To start with, what they almost always do: tune the 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine to reach 690 CV of power. Proportionally, maximum torque rises even further, from the 760 Nm of the “standard” version to 960 Nm in the Brabus preparation.

To reach these figures, Brabus has replaced the standard turbochargers with new special units capable of generating more boost. Other modifications affect the intake and exhaust manifolds and the electronic management. And Brabus guarantees the reliability of its preparations, offering a three-year or 100,000 km warranty.

With this engine, the acceleration of the Brabus 700 4×4§h35Lamborghinih36§ Final Edition is impressive for a vehicle of this size and weight: it reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in 5 seconds. The top speed is limited to 210 km/h, due to the use of tyres that must remain suitable for 4×4 off-road driving. Specifically, they are Pirelli Scorpion ATR in 325/55 sizes, mounted on spectacular 22-inch alloy wheels.

Limited edition: only 10 units

Other distinctive features of the Brabus 700 4×4§h43Lamborghinih44§ Final Edition, of which only 10 units will be built, affect aesthetic details and interior and exterior personalisation. Work has also been done on the suspension.

Brabus has decided to give its special touch to the adjustable suspension developed for this car, with specific measures to reduce the weight of the unsprung masses and heat dissipation in the air columns and dampers when they are asked to work hard. A touch-sensitive control panel lets the driver choose between three programmes: Comfort, Sport, Off-Road and an customisable Individual mode.
