Two Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde for the Carabinieri

You read that right. The Italian Carabinieri have just received two units of the handsome and powerful Alfa Romeo Giulia in its most performance-oriented version, called Quadrifoglio Verde.
These two units, which are already the fastest in the entire Italian police force, were handed over to the corps yesterday by Sergio Marchionne, the head of the FCA Group.
One of the two saloons is destined for the city of Milan, while the other has been assigned to the Italian capital, Rome. Alfa says that these two cars will be used mainly in high-emergency situations to provide the fastest possible response to citizens, as well as at various galas and parades.
Few Carabinieri will have the chance to share a working shift with either of these two Alfa Romeo Giulia QV. Furthermore, to drive it, the officers must pass a driving course taught by Alfa Romeo instructors.

As we can see in the images, on the exterior both units have been decorated with the colours and crests of the police corps. They have also been fitted with various LED lights on both the roof and the front, next to the air intakes.
For its part, the cabin incorporates all the traditional radio systems, a tablet on the passenger side and the controls for the emergency service lights. They also receive a defibrillator and dedicated compartments for the standard-issue weapons.
The mechanicals of the Alfa Romeo Giulia QV have not been modified. It features the 2,900 cc twin-turbo V6 producing 510 CV, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. As you already know, all this power goes to the rear wheels and allows a 0 to 100 km/h time of just under 4 seconds.
The manufacturer FCA has an important agreement with the Italian Police corps. This year, the authorities will receive around 800 vehicles, including several units of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Jeep Renegade and Fiat Panda supplied by the manufacturer.
