Jetta Volkswagen Sedans Compact
Volkswagen Jetta 2011 (European version)
The Volkswagen Jetta is a saloon that, at 4.64 metres long, sits between the compact and mid-size saloon categories. It has 4 doors and can seat up to 5 people. The boot is large for its size, with a capacity of 510 litres.
It is a completely new model. It shares some mechanical elements with the Golf VI but, unlike its predecessor, it is not based on this compact. According to the German manufacturer, it was started from scratch, which has allowed the design of a better-proportioned and more attractive body.

The initial engine range is wide. From the outset, four petrol engines and two diesels will be available. The petrol engines are structured as follows: 1.2 TSI with 105 CV; 1.4 TSI with 122 CV; 1.4 TSI with 140 CV; and 2.0 TSI with 200 CV. As for the diesels, there are: 1.6 TDI with 105 CV; and 2.0 TDI with 140 CV. All of them, except the 1.2 TSI, can be fitted with the DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
With the 1.2 TSI 105 CV engine, the Jetta has an average consumption of 5.3 l/100 km. With the 1.6 TDI 105 CV engine, consumption drops to 4.2 l/100 km. In both cases these are excellent results, which improve on those achieved by all its rivals (Skoda Octavia, Renault Fluence, Mazda 3 SportSedan, etc.).

As for the interior, it follows the trend of the latest Volkswagen models. It has a look similar to that of the Golf, although it features details that give it a distinguished appearance compared with the rest of the Volkswagen range. There will be three trim levels: Comfortline, Trendline and Highline.
It will go on sale in spring 2011. Prices are not yet known. We will update the page when they are available. For reference, in Germany prices start at €20,900.
