ID.3 Volkswagen Electric Cars ECO
Volkswagen updates the ID.3 again, equipping it with a new screen and other improvements
Although this may be going unnoticed by many potential customers, the truth is that Volkswagen is not giving up and keeps continuously improving a vehicle that no longer resembles the one that hit the market in 2020
The launch of the ID.3 was not the success that Volkswagen had hoped for, mainly due to some initial problems with the vehicle’s infotainment system software. Since then, the German manufacturer has sought to address the vehicle’s critical points with successive updates, and there is no doubt that it has largely succeeded. To the point that we can say the ID.3 currently on sale is a completely different vehicle from the original.
Just in case the improvements Volkswagen has been implementing on the ID.3 over the last few years were not enough, including a hardware update carried out just over a year ago, we have now learned of a series of additional improvements that will soon arrive on this model.

The main highlight of all of them is the availability of a new 12.9-inch central screen with a new user interface that is much more intuitive and, above all, smoother. The German manufacturer highlights that this new screen now incorporates a new menu that resolves some of the complaints expressed by the company’s customers in the past. But that’s not all, because it also features ChatGPT integration.
Don’t leave yet, because there’s more
Additionally, those interested in the ID.3 Pro S version have reason to celebrate because the company has increased the power of its powertrain, which is now new, up to 170 kW. In this way, Volkswagen promises that this version of the ID.3 can stop the clock in the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration test in 7.1 seconds. And no, for all of you wondering, this updated version of the ID.3 does not also include a higher-capacity battery pack, maintaining a similar WLTP range that the manufacturer puts at 347 km in this case.
Preconditioning the battery when selecting a new destination with an intermediate charging point in the navigation system is another important improvement we cannot overlook. As with adaptive cruise control, which can now perform lane changes automatically. Owners of the new ID.3 will also enjoy some new features, such as the preventive activation of the hazard lights in the face of potential dangers on the road, or the locking of the doors when passengers want to get out but another vehicle is approaching and poses a threat.

The Park Assist Plus system has also been updated and is capable of performing previously memorized parking maneuvers over a maximum distance of 50 metres. Furthermore, it is now possible to optionally choose a new Harman Kardon sound system with 12 speakers for the enjoyment of passengers. In short, the ID.3 is still a little better than it already was.
