Volvo S90 and V90, now sportier thanks to the R-Design package

The Swedish manufacturer unveiled its new flagship saloon at the end of last year, the Volvo S90. Shortly after, it did the same by launching its sister estate version, the V90. Two cars whose main selling points are design, comfort and smooth driving. Both have been developed on the SPA platform and, from now on, they can receive the R-Design sports package.
The latest model from the Swedish car company to receive these “vitamins” has been the Volvo XC90. Now it’s the turn of the saloon and the estate which, supposedly, in addition to being more sporty in appearance, will also feature a different tuning to achieve firmer and more dynamic handling.
The bodywork receives a series of modifications that affect, on the exterior, mainly the bumpers with a slightly sportier profile and relocated fog lights, a main grille finished in piano black, new-design alloy wheels reminiscent of those used by BMW on the M6 with their five thin double spokes, and rectangular exhaust outlets finished in chrome.

On the other hand, inside the cabin of the Volvo S90 and V90 with the R-Design package you will find specific sportier seats, aluminium pedals and inserts, and a sportier steering wheel.
As we can see, every detail contributes its part to give the saloon and the estate a sportier look, something we normally see on the “standard” versions of the Swedish models. In this way, the driver and occupants will feel, whether on board or seeing it from outside, that they are in a very dynamic-looking Volvo, while still keeping virtually all the comfort that always stands out in the Swedish company’s cars.
Volvo is now accepting orders, starting today, for the Volvo S90 and V90 with the R-Design package; however, it has not yet published its price list for the Spanish market. The cost will likely vary depending on the version chosen.
