Zeekr begins deliveries of the 7X SUV in Europe

Zeekr, the Premium electric vehicle brand of Chinese giant Geely, has begun delivering the first units of its highly anticipated 7X SUV in Europe, starting with Norway, with plans to expand progressively to the Netherlands and Sweden. This mid-size SUV is finally arriving in our market, although with some changes to its powertrain since orders opened in December 2024.

In Norway, the starting price of the Zeekr 7X is 539,900 Norwegian kroner, which comes to roughly 45,970 euros. In the Netherlands, the vehicle starts at 52,990 euros, while in Sweden the minimum price to get one is 579,000 Swedish kronor, approximately 50,500 euros. These substantial differences in selling price are explained by the different tax rates applicable in each country.

The first Zeekr 7X delivered in Europe was grey and, specifically, it was the AWD Privilege version. This top-of-the-range version stands out for including air suspension and for being capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, offering a WLTP range of 543 kilometres. It features dual electric motors and all-wheel drive with a combined power output from its two motors of 470 kW, paired with a 100 kWh battery pack with NMC cells manufactured by CATL. This model also supports ultra-rapid charging at a maximum power of 360 kW. Its new owner received it in the Norwegian city of Bergen.

Other available versions

Zeekr also sells the Long Range RWD version, with rear-wheel drive and a 310 kW motor. It uses the same 100 kWh battery pack, and its WLTP range is 615 km. Additionally, as the entry-level model, the Core RWD version keeps the same powertrain but reduces the battery pack capacity to 75 kWh, and its cells are LFP. This battery pack is known as the “Golden Battery” and has been developed by VERMT, a subsidiary of Geely itself. Its most notable feature is that it allows the state of charge to be increased from 10 to 80 percent in just 10.5 minutes at a 480 kW charging point, or in 13 minutes at a 360 kW point.

Finally, it is important to point out that the European 7X is not identical to the model presented in China in August 2024. While the Chinese version measures 4.83 metres in length, with a wheelbase of 2.93 metres and a height of 1.66 or 1.67 metres depending on the configuration, the European model is slightly more compact, at 4.79 metres long, with a wheelbase of 2.90 metres and a height of 1.65 metres.
