Maserati modernizes its range of four-door vehicles with the MY18 GranLusso and GranSport trims

Maserati has just unveiled the GranLusso and GranSport trims for its four-door models. These are characterized by offering more exclusive elements.

Supercars are, like all other vehicle segments, doomed to constantly renew themselves in order to compete with their rivals, whether mechanically or aesthetically. Maserati has progressively evolved over the last few years thanks to the introduction of a more refined and up-to-date model range; however, the trident brand is aware that it cannot slow down the pace of its creations, which is why it has decided to incorporate the GranLusso and GranSport trims into its most versatile vehicles.

The Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante are presented as clear examples that sportiness and practicality can go hand in hand, something that Maserati wanted to emphasize with these two new options. The Beijing Motor Show was presented as the ideal event to unveil these latest novelties, in which the Italian brand has put all its effort into offering more personality and exclusivity in its products.

Maserati has focused all its efforts on improving both the exterior and interior trims, something it has been able to achieve not only with the introduction of the new packages, but also with the personalization department, where each customer can configure their new sports car to their taste and desire. The novelties can be applied to the three four-door models that make up the Maserati range, and they will cover everything from the material of the front grille to the color of the seats.

The aesthetic section offers the possibility of adorning our new Maserati with numerous wheels, which feature different designs and sizes ranging from 18 to 21 inches. The six-piston brake calipers signed by Brembo can also be chosen in different colors, with the options being black, red, blue and yellow. At the same time, the front end is dressed in carbon fiber, a material we can see applied both to the front grille and to the splitter and other components that form part of the exterior.

If we venture to explore the cabin of the Maserati with the GranLusso and GranSport trim, we will find detailed elements that will make boarding the Italian sports cars a unique experience. The trident brand allows its most discerning customers to choose between an interior wrapped in fine Radica wood together with a leather steering wheel or, alternatively, a much sportier and more radical interior where Alcantara and carbon fiber take center stage.

At the same time, exclusivity is accentuated by the ability to upholster the interior of our Maserati with Ermenegildo Zegna silk, which combines fine-grain leather with 100% natural Zegna mulberry silk fiber. The Italian brand is the only company in the world to use this material, which will allow its customers to have a much more special vehicle. Furthermore, Maserati also offers the option of covering our car with a paint containing mica flakes, which reveal different tones and shades under different lighting conditions.

Undoubtedly, Maserati has known how to create a higher level of exclusivity in its vehicles without the need to resort to creating a completely new model. We currently do not know the prices of these options and trims, but their fortunate owners will be able to enjoy a genuine Italian sports car where exclusivity oozes from every side.
