6 autonomous driving assistants fitted as standard on the 2017 SsangYong Tivoli and XLV
The SsangYong SASS safety package comes fitted as standard on the new Tivoli and XLV.
The SsangYong SASS safety package has been fitted on the new 2017 Tivoli and XLV. This system works through a camera located behind the interior rear-view mirror, which sends its images, analyses them and acts on the engine, the ABS, the traction control and the stability control.

The SASS package from SsangYong enhances the safety of its vehicles thanks to Level 1 autonomous driving assistants such as the following:
- TSR – Traffic Sign Recognition

The traffic sign recognition system detects speed limit, overtaking and end-of-restriction signs, and displays them for 5 seconds on the instrument cluster. It helps prevent or reduce the likelihood of exceeding the legal speed limit or overtaking in a prohibited zone. It operates from 10 to 130 km/h.
- FCW – Forward Collision Warning
This function measures the vehicle’s own speed and trajectory, the distance to the vehicle ahead and its speed. Based on this, the system warns the driver with an audible alert if it detects a risk of collision with another vehicle or a pedestrian. FCW detects other vehicles between 8 and 180 km/h, and pedestrians between 8 and 70 km/h.
- AEBS – Autonomous Emergency Braking System

This system helps prevent an accident or reduce the impact speed with another vehicle or a pedestrian by automatically applying all or part of the braking force. It measures the vehicle’s own speed and trajectory, the distance to the vehicle ahead and the speed of the vehicle ahead. It operates between 8 and 60 km/h for detecting both cars and pedestrians.
- LDWS – Lane Departure Warning System
The lane departure warning acoustically alerts the driver when they are leaving their lane without having signalled in advance with the indicators. It helps prevent or reduce the likelihood of drifting into the opposite lane or another lane due to distraction or fatigue, and operates between 60 and 175 km/h.
- LKAS – Lane Keeping Assist System

It warns of lane departure and corrects the trajectory if the manoeuvre has not been previously signalled with the indicators. It automatically corrects lane departure, helping to prevent or reduce the likelihood of drifting into the opposite lane or another lane due to distraction or fatigue. It operates between 60 and 175 km/h.
- HBAS – High Beam Assist

It automatically adjusts the position of the headlight beam and switches from low beam to high beam when necessary. This system offers greater comfort and safety, as it removes the need to switch the lights on and off manually. It operates from 35 km/h.
