Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Performance Edition: 510 CV for 103,000 euros

Since it was unveiled last June, the Alfa Romeo Giulia has done nothing but spark the interest of all those enthusiasts of good taste. Its pure ‘made in Italy’ design and its Ferrari engine have us in love, but some details were still missing, such as its international debut (first contact with potential end customers), its performance and, most importantly, its price. Did anyone say it would be cheap?
The Alfa Romeo Giulia has finally made its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, and to mark the commercial launch, the Italian brand has taken the opportunity to introduce a special edition, called Quadrifoglio Performance Edition, which is already available on the Spanish market with a starting price of 103,000 euros and represents the most sporty, fast and exclusive variant in the range. That said, it will be aimed at a select few customers who will get the most aggressive and sporty version of the Giulia.

To set it apart from the rest of the range, which will start at 87,000 euros and go on sale during the last quarter of 2015, this version features a carbon fibre roof and bonnet, a set of ceramic disc brakes and carbon fibre bucket seats signed by the specialists at Sparco.
Under the bonnet, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Performance Edition has a twin-turbo V6 engine developed by Ferrari that delivers a whopping 510 CV and 600 Nm of torque. With these figures, the most powerful Giulia sits alongside models such as the Mercedes-AMG C63 S and outperforms the BMW M3 and BMW M4. It is capable of going from zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 307 km/h, a figure that until now had remained a mystery.
An interesting fact that Alfa Romeo provides in its press release is that the Giulia Quadrifoglio Performance Edition has managed to lap the Nürburgring circuit in a blistering 7 minutes and 39 seconds, a time that reflects the true potential of the new saloon from the Italian brand.
