Alpina presents four exclusive units of its B4 Gran Coupé for Japan
The specialist in extracting the maximum performance and sportiness from BMW has just unveiled a very special and limited edition of its B4, available only for the Japanese market
Following the acquisition of Alpina by BMW last March, the German tuner that has specialised in the Bavarian brand since 1978 is presenting its latest novelty, based on the B4 Gran Coupé, the most radical four-door version of the popular coupé from BMW.
This special edition that takes centre stage today is an order placed by Alpina’s official importer in Japan, which has commissioned four exclusive units of the B4 Gran Coupé, creating a super-limited and exclusive edition that will not be available to the whole Japanese market. Instead, the brand itself will select, through a draw, the four lucky owners who will acquire each of these units.

Only in two colours
Starting with the design, the four units of the Alpina B4 Gran Coupé for Japan fit the iconic 20-spoke Alpina wheels, although in a different colour on each of the four units, since the importer has also chosen only two of the available colour variants: an orange tone called Fire Orange and a black one called Frozen Black Metallic.
In the case of the two units in the photographs in Fire Orange, one has gold-coloured wheels and the left-hand steering wheel, while the other has black wheels with the right-hand steering wheel. Moving on to the other two units in black, one again has the same wheels in gold and the other in anthracite grey. Both have the right-hand steering wheel.

Details in the purest Alpina style
Stepping inside, all four units of the B4 Gran Coupé feature a cabin fully upholstered in black Merino leather, with an Alcantara-covered steering wheel with orange stitching, black wood trim, floor mats for all seats, and the boot finished in suede, along with the various Alpina badges on the gear paddles and the seats.
As for the mechanical side, the Alpina B4 Gran Coupé uses a six-cylinder 3.0-litre engine that produces no less than 495 CV. Paired with the powertrain is a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox and xDrive all-wheel drive system.
