Electric Cars Concepts Supercars
Aspark Owl, the Japanese electric supercar that aims to break the Nürburgring record
The Japanese electric supercar wants to beat the Nürburgring electric vehicle speed record and overtake the Nio EP9, which currently holds it

In the past, at the Paris Motor Show, one of those supercar concepts was unveiled, packed with features designed to earn it a place in the most demanding markets. This is the Aspark Owl, a concept presented by a Japanese brand that intends for it to be talked about extensively in the coming months. There is no news yet that this electric concept has moved into production, although the team behind the car is eager to make its mark.
The plan is for the Aspark Owl to take on one of the most demanding circuits in the world. Nürburgring is known as the Green Hell, and for good reason. It is a tough track that is often used by many brands for testing and that puts the endurance and capabilities of a model to the test. It is also a public circuit, where you can drive your own car or rent a specific model to take laps.

The current Nürburgring lap record for an electric vehicle is held by the Nio EP9, although that car is not road-legal, so it does not compete in the same category.

ASPARK OWL
In the case of the Aspark Owl, we are talking about a road-legal car that uses a carbon fibre monocoque, and the use of carbon in several areas of the bodywork gives it a good power-to-weight ratio, with a weight of 1,460 kg. The Aspark Owl uses four electric motors that deliver a combined output of a considerable 1,150 CV and a peak torque of 883 Nm.
With those figures and that weight, it is no surprise that it achieves a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just two seconds and a top speed of 280 km/h. It remains to be seen how it performs on the Nürburgring circuit, but it appears to have already come a long way. The brand expects it to enter production shortly, although if you want to be one of the drivers who enjoy it, you will need to act fast, since only 50 units are planned. It will be presented in its final form at the Dubai Motor Show and will cost approximately 3.1 million dollars.
