ATS GT finally arrives with only 12 units, each costing more than one million euros

Some time ago we had the chance to see the Salon Prive, an event for ultra-luxury cars, where one of the Italian brands that had vanished into the mists of time was present. Automobile Turismo e Sport was a brand with a short-lived existence, not very well known beyond true enthusiasts and connoisseurs of the Italian motor industry. Now it has returned with a very interesting proposal, a supercar that was presented at that event and can now be reserved, provided you have enough money to do so.

This special car will be available to only 12 fortunate buyers, who will have to pay approximately 1,137,000 euros, an amount that already marks it as one of the most imposing vehicles that will be seen over the coming months. The supercar is based on the original 1963 model, the ATS 2500 GT, which you can also see in the image gallery. With the design brought up to 2017, this ATS GT features 20-inch alloy wheels at the front and 21-inch at the rear. The brakes are carbon-ceramic made by Brembo, and an additional air brake has been added at the rear.

This equipment is not free, as the ATS GT is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, capable of producing 656 CV and a maximum torque of 678 Nm in its standard configuration. If an optional package is added, power rises to 700 CV and 750 Nm. Of course, the price also increases slightly. This engine can take the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just three seconds, allowing a top speed of 335 km/h.

To achieve these figures it relies on a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The driver can change the engine, suspension and steering settings across three different modes. For normal driving there is the Viaggio option, while Sport and Corsa modes are set up for track use. In the latter case, the engine and suspension settings are more aggressive and the instrument panel takes a form closer to that of a Formula 1 car.

Inside there is a standard luxury configuration, although the brand’s idea is to offer a wide variety of options, just as on the exterior. In this way, 12 completely unique and unrepeatable cars can be had. There is no limit to what the customer can request; everything depends on how much they want to spend. A remarkable car, which can already be ordered to be the envy of the neighbourhood.
