Audi A8 L Chauffeur and A8 Sport, two luxury versions for the Japanese market

It seems that whenever we talk about special editions for the Asian market, we always think of China. But it is not the only country to receive special editions of luxury cars. Japan is one example, as it is about to receive two very special versions of the Audi luxury model. The A8 L Chauffeur and the A8 Sport will soon arrive in the Asian country to meet the demand from Japanese customers.

The first of the two special versions is the A8 L Chauffeur, which will only be available to the first five buyers who request it, as this is the number of units that will be built. The model is called “chauffeur” because it is designed so that the occupant in the rear is the important one. This version has a longer wheelbase, which allows for more rear legroom, and it also includes a refrigerated compartment with capacity for two bottles and cans of soft drinks or glasses.

In addition, it will feature an interior finish in grey marble, which confirms its intention to be a luxury vehicle. The Phantom Black exterior finish and the 20-inch alloy wheels give the model its striking look. The price of these five units will be approximately 132,500 euros, although it is not excessive when compared with other similar models.

As for the A8 Sport Edition, it will add some sporty touches to the saloon, within the limits that can be included in a model of this type. This includes a Alcantara roof finish, as well as matte titanium alloy wheels of 21 inches and standard LED Matrix headlights. The bodywork shares the Phantom Black pearl finish with the A8 L Chauffeur.

In this second case, 50 units will go on sale, of which 8 will be offered with a 3.0-litre V6 TFSI quattro engine that produces 306 horsepower. The price of these units will be 97,700 dollars. The other 42 cars will have a 4.0-litre V8 TFSI quattro engine with an output of 429 CV. These will be somewhat more expensive, at around 116,000 euros.
