BMW i3S iPerformance: the sporty version will debut in Frankfurt with 190 CV
The BMW i3S iPerformance will receive a power increase of 20 CV and a series of chassis adjustments compared with the standard model.

BMW is putting the finishing touches to the update of the i3, its only 100% electric vehicle at the moment. The restyling of this zero-emission car includes the launch of a new sporty version, called i3S iPerformance, a variant that will be presented in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Details about the “spicy” version of the i3 are still scarce, although some sources report that the German model will receive a new powertrain that will increase its power by 20 CV compared with the standard model, allowing it to reach 190 CV. It should be remembered that the new standard BMW i3 keeps its rear-wheel drive system and the same performance level as its predecessor, with an output equivalent to 168 CV.

The i3s Performance will have 20 CV more than the standard version and will receive chassis adjustments that will sharpen its dynamics In addition to the performance increase, the i3S iPerformance will feature several chassis improvements, including a wider track (40 mm) and a ride height lowered by 10 mm compared with the base i3.
The British publication Autocar has confirmed that the dynamic stability control of the new BMW i3 has been reprogrammed to offer more grip and traction in wet conditions.
Visually, the new BMW i3 does not offer major changes, rather small accents that subtly set it apart from its predecessor. The new model features a redesigned front bumper, new LED lights, new door frames and renewed alloy wheels. The rear bumper is also new and the vehicle will offer a new two-tone exterior colour.

Inside, the new BMW i3 has received new trim options, as well as an iDrive infotainment system with the brand’s latest software, the same one used in the 5 Series and the brand’s updated models.
