BMW M2 CSL Turbomeister Edition, a tribute to its ancestors
The BMW M2 CSL Turbomeister Edition pays tribute to the legendary BMW 2002 and to the Hommage Concept 2002 from 2016. Do you also want to get behind the wheel?

We have seen plenty of BMW M2 builds over the years, but not many are as wild as this 2018 model. Unofficially nicknamed M2 CSL Turbomeister Edition, it is a privately owned car that has been completely modified. Topaz took care of protecting the orange bodywork (Inka 22 – a historic BMW colour used on the 2002) and the black areas, with special decals, while Alpha-N signed off on the carbon roof. The high-performance exhaust system, whose quad exhaust tips sit in the new diffuser, came from Akrapovic, the 19-inch wheels carry the BBS signature, and the matt black side skirts were made by AC Schnitzer.

At the same time, the BMW design department allowed the owner to take a look at the Hommage Concept 2002 from 2016 in real life for inspiration. A complete AST suspension kit has been installed, while the front brake discs were replaced with smaller Nashin units that keep the six-piston calipers in place. This change alone has allowed the car to lose 16 kg, and all the modifications resulted in a total weight reduction of more than 110 kg. The brake lines were swapped for new ones, and the brake pads were also changed. The rear axle retains the standard brakes, although all four calipers have been painted orange.

The BMW M2 CSL Turbomeister Edition, everything we know about it
In addition to the aftermarket titanium exhaust, the BMW M2 CSL Turbomeister features an Eventuri air intake and a few other modifications that have raised the output and torque of the 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six to 520 CV and 660 Nm. This represents an increase of 110 CV and 110 Nm over the standard car, which completes the 0-100 km/h sprint in just over 4 seconds with the optional seven-speed DCT gearbox, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h, or 280 km/h with the M Driver’s Package.

Among the details fitted to this impressive model, which pays tribute to the legendary BMW 2002, is a welcome light that greets occupants when the door is opened, and once inside you will find a steering wheel in Alcantara and leather with a red 12 o’clock marker and custom shift paddles. It also has carbon fibre and Alcantara trim for the gear lever and handbrake, pedal covers in M Performance style, and an additional screen mounted in the centre of the dashboard for diagnostic data.
