G-Power is one of the tuning companies with the strongest presence on the market, and it has worked on the BMW M5 to make them even more impressive

Diesel engines are usually reserved for more restrained performance. The goal is sustained power above all, and a sense of unleashed power. But over time, diesels have shown that cars with diesel engines can deliver a fairly interesting driving experience. One of these diesel cars worth driving is the BMW X5 M50d, which features an engine producing 400 CV and a peak torque of 760 Nm.

With this output it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. The six-cylinder, quad-turbo engine makes the model very enjoyable to drive, but the tuner G-Power wanted this model to be even more appealing and to deliver even more exciting sensations. The power increase from the update offered by G-Power reaches 475 CV and a peak torque of 865 Nm. To achieve this, they used new software that optimises the car’s performance.

This does not make it the most powerful version of the BMW M5, since the most powerful version of this model has 100 CV more, but with a peak torque 115 Nm higher than this one. G-Power has not yet revealed anything more about the project that has turned the BMW X5 M50d into an even more impressive car, but what we can see in the images it has already released is that it has a finish featuring the G-Power logo instead of the Bavarian brand’s.

Moreover, G-Power has also worked on other variants of the BMW X5, such as the model currently on the market. The 4.4-litre V8 engine has had its power increased to 769 CV and its peak torque to 980 Nm, which could make this model a car that can hold its own against other high-end SUVs. G-Power has also modified other versions of the third generation of the BMW X5, so buyers can opt for these variants modified by the tuner.

The BMW X5 35i can gain 360 CV, and the BMW X5 50i raises output to 570 CV. Up to 270 CV can also be extracted from the BMW X5 25d, 315 CV from the engine of the BMW X5 30d, and 380 CV from the engine of the BMW X5 40d, using the performance software applied to the BMW X5 M50d variant. As a result, BMW X5 buyers can have a more powerful car than the one the manufacturer planned.
