The Americans at Road&Track have created a new category of supercars: the two-second club. To gain entry to this exclusive club, a car must meet the essential requirement of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (since they measure 0 to 60 mph rather than 0 to 100 km/h) in under three seconds. That is something the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, Nissan GT-R 2011 and Porsche 911 Turbo S all achieve. So why not compare them?
No sooner said than done, and with a video included too. The full comparison appears in the printed magazine, but here we are going to reveal some of the figures they obtained for your enjoyment.
The 0 to 60 mph test is won by the Veyron, which takes just 2.52 seconds. Obviously, it is the most powerful. However, it is fair to admit that up to this speed all three remain relatively close, as the 911 Turbo S manages 2.84 s and the GT-R 2.94 s. Beyond this point the differences with the 1,200 hp and several-million-euro model are outstanding. The Bugatti reaches 100 mph in 4.9 s (!!), versus 6.7 s for the Porsche and 7.3 for the Nissan. The 0-160 mph run is completed in 12.2 s with the Veyron, 18.7 s with the Turbo S and 22.0 s with the GT-R.

LO SIENTO PERO NO ME CREO QUE DEL GT-R AL TURBO S EXISTA ESA DIFERENCIA DE TIEMPO.

Como quieres comparar un Nissan deportivo, con una historia de 40 años deportivos del 911. Llevan mucha ventaja en competición y en tecnología. El Nissan solo corre en play station. Como mínimo podrían haberle llamado DATSUN que por historia tiene algún prestigio.

Claro el veyron usandolo en ciudad debe promediar 2MPG o menos… El GTR es el mejor auto porque sirve para absolutamente todo hasta si tenes una familia de 4 integrantes, en el turbo no entra gente atras y el baul delantero es chico. Odio que comparen al GTR con demas en rectas cuando este auto esta diseñado para correr en las curvas. Siempre hay que pensar en donde esta hecho el coche para que un auto de poco CX en japon si las autopistas estan llenas de autos y radares. Lo que hay son circuitos y carreteras de montañas ( En esta ultima olvidate del porsche y mucho mas del SS ) La baja altura y relaciones largas y suspensiones no tan fuertes no pueden contra el japones
