The Dacia Duster is a well-known model that has been very popular in the European market for years. It is not only an SUV with excellent value for money, but it is now also turned into a pick-up designed for work in the countryside. It is not the first time the Duster has been converted into this type of vehicle, but this time it comes with a very attractive feature.

Unlike other conversions of the Duster, the second row of seats has been kept, so there are four seats for passengers. That said, keeping these seats reduces the cargo space, which is quite small. As with previous pick-up versions of this model, this conversion was carried out by the Romanian company Romturingia.

A practical design

The pick-up has been designed by removing the bodywork behind the D-pillar, while the front remains identical to the other versions. The cargo area is lined with a plastic floor, a material that is also present on the sides. The tailgate has been redesigned so that it fulfils its service role and allows easy access to the cargo area.

It has a length of 1,050 millimetres, a width of 1,000 millimetres and a payload capacity of 430 kg. The load can be secured thanks to the two rails that have been fitted and the four tie-down anchors that improve the restraint of cargo. Inside, there is an armrest between the two rear seats, which improves comfort for those passengers.

The features of this variant remain identical to the traditional Duster, so it has the same dimensions. It is available in the Expression, Extreme and Journey trim levels, which also have the same equipment enjoyed by the traditional SUV.

As for the engines, two electrified powertrains are available. The first is the 130 CV TCe mild-hybrid engine with automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, and the second is the 140 CV Hybrid engine, also with automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. It is already on sale in Romania with a starting price of 25,983 euros.
