The electric mobility wants to stop being something expensive and exclusive for people with high purchasing power. That is why brands such as Dacia are willing to compete in this demanding market with an electric car. And, being a Dacia, we can be sure that it will be an affordable car that will be able to compete on price and performance with other similar cars at higher prices.

The Dacia Spring Electric Concept is a concept car that will offer space, range and performance for anyone who wants to enjoy electric mobility without having to spend a lot of money. The price of this model, once it goes into production, will not reach 20,000 euros, good news that will allow many people to access the Romanian-made car without problems.

The electric car that Dacia will put on the market, judging by this concept model, will have a range of 200 kilometres under the WLTP cycle. To create this concept car for the European market, it looked to the Renault City K-ZE, which is built for the Chinese market. The combination of Renault’s experience in the electric vehicle market, with all the advances it has achieved so far, and Dacia’s capacity to introduce low-priced vehicles, could work and bring this type of car closer to the general public.

The Dacia Spring Electric Concept measures 3.73 metres, placing it between the Renault Twingo and the Renault Zoe. A small city car with electric capability that will let it move with ease around town. This is the main scenario for small electric cars with limited range, so an interesting market could open up for electric vehicle users.

The look of the Dacia Spring Electric Concept is still provisional, and we do not know whether it will be the design the production model wears. What we can see is that the car has several orange decorative elements on its grey bodywork. As for the mechanics, the prototype features a 23.1 kWh battery, which brings the range up to 200 kilometres. We do not know the engine specifications, so we will have to wait a little to learn those details. The Dacia car will be ready in 2022, so we will not have to wait long
