The policy of Dacia of offering efficient, good-quality vehicles at a very tight price has made this brand one of the best-known and best-selling in all of Europe. The Renault subsidiary offers an affordable and attractive purchase option for everyone in some of its models. Now, joining its best sellers, the Dacia Sandero and the Dacia Duster, comes the Dacia Spring, the first fully electric model from the Romanian brand.

And, although it will surprise no one, it is an electric vehicle that will attract the attention of many buyers who want an electric car but don’t want to spend too much money when buying it. The Dacia Spring has already revealed the versions in which it will be sold and their prices. Everything is designed for the French market, although no major changes are expected for what we will find in Spain.

Three versions

To begin marketing the Dacia Spring, the brand has prepared three versions, two of which will be available immediately and a third that will take a little longer to arrive. The entry-level version, which is likely to interest the largest number of potential buyers, has a starting price of 16,990 euros.

The Confort version comes with standard equipment including manual air conditioning, Bluetooth radio and a charger to recharge the vehicle from a conventional Schuko socket. To get a cable to connect the battery to a commercial charging station, an extra cost of 250 euros must be paid. It will be offered as standard in white, but there are three metallic finishes. These will cost 500 euros more than the starting price.

The second version is the Confort Plus. It adds a 7-inch multimedia screen and connectivity with mobile devices. It also includes a spare wheel as standard, which is optional on the Confort version and can be added for 180 euros. This version is only available with the metallic finishes and costs 18,490 euros.

This version does not come with the cable as standard either, but a CCS connector can be added to charge the battery at a 30 kW direct-current charging point. In this case, the additional cost is 600 euros.

The third model will have no rear seats, and that space can be used for transporting goods. Without these seats, the loading space increases to 1,100 litres. The maximum payload will be 325 kg. However, it will not be available until 2022 and its price has not yet been revealed.

Also for carsharing

Carsharing is a market very well suited to these electric vehicles, as it is a clean and efficient mode of urban transport. So Dacia will make the entry-level version available to carsharing companies. The price of this version for city sharing is 16,800 euros, and it could be available in Paris and Madrid.
