Driving Max Verstappen's Honda Civic Type R? Now you can

Driving the Honda Civic Type R of Max Verstappen? Now you can, because after becoming Formula 1 World Champion, Max Verstappen has put one of the cars from his collection up for sale. Verstappen managed to beat Lewis Hamilton in one of the most controversial finals in Formula 1 history. Now, Max has put one of his personal cars up for sale at a charity auction.

It is the Honda Civic Type R, and it is listed for sale on the CarNext auction site. Although the identity of the car is kept secret, a photo included in the listing reveals the Red Bull driver’s car. In addition, Max Verstappen has starred in a teaser video in which he confirms that it is a Honda Civic Type R and shows some details of the model.

Max Verstappen’s Honda Civic Type R goes up for auction

While Verstappen is part of the Formula 1 team, Honda gave this model to the driver to use as his everyday car. You may think it is a very simple car for a World Champion, but don’t be fooled. The Honda Civic Type R Max Verstappen Edition has a Championship White finish. It is worth noting that Max Verstappen has real gems in his garage, such as a Aston Martin DB11, a Aston Martin Vantage, a Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, a Ferrari Monza SP2 and a Ferrari 488 Pista. And the list doesn’t end there: Max is also on the waiting list for the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

Returning to Max Verstappen’s Honda Civic Type R being auctioned, it is a 2018 unit with just under 58,000 kilometres on its odometer. The listing says the model is rear-wheel drive, something we doubt since the model was only sold with front-wheel drive, although it may be something special from the Max Verstappen Edition. In addition, the dashboard bears the signature of the Formula 1 World Champion. Do you want it?

You will have to wait until next 17 December to learn more about the Honda Civic Type R being auctioned. Currently, it has a starting price of 33,333 euros, but this price could rise considerably since it is a car personally used by Max Verstappen, the newly crowned Formula 1 World Champion. Remember that the proceeds will go to a good cause: they will be donated to the Red Bull charity Wings For Life.
