Electric cars are being prepared in the Chinese market to compete with Tesla, with luxury models that aim to imitate the path taken by Elon Musk

It is fascinating how Chinese cars are arriving that use electric drive systems and aim to carve out a place in the electric vehicle market. The latest we have heard of is the Enovate ME-S, a high-end electric car that is ready to take on the challenge posed by the electric car market. The Enovate ME-S does not look unfamiliar to us, as it bears a strong resemblance to a Porsche model.

This similarity is accentuated at the rear, which has a look reminiscent of the Porsche Panamera or the Taycan, while the design of the doors bears some resemblance to the Porsche Mission E. There is an explanation for this, as the designer of this model is Hakan Saracoglu, a former member of the team responsible for models such as the Porsche 918 Spyder. That is, at least, the excuse they have found to justify this similarity.

The Enovate ME-S has an interior made up of four individual seats, which provide a fairly high level of comfort to its occupants. In front of the front seats we find a large screen that runs across the dashboard and offers a very dynamic display. Another screen on the steering wheel provides information directly to the driver, and a screen on the central console helps control the infotainment system.

There is no further information about the concept model, so we do not know what type of propulsion system it will use, although the company that designed it claims it will be able to achieve an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in three seconds. It has been reported that it will have an 800-volt battery system and that it can be charged with a 300 kW charger, which would allow it to go from 0 to 80% charge in 15 minutes.

Unlike other models, the brand behind this model is thinking big. It aims to win its first customers in the luxury segment, with plans to launch other models later aimed at more modest users, with more affordable prices and lighter equipment. For now, the Enovate ME-S is aimed at users with higher purchasing power and could enter production in 2021. The rest will depend on the sales of this car.
