Ford F-Series Super Duty 2020, a pickup built to flex its muscle and work in comfort
Ford has unveiled the new range of its high-end pickups, designed for demanding work and combining imposing power and presence with comfort

Although pickups are growing in every market, including Europe where until now they have been quite a niche, the ones that truly know how to build and make the most of this type of vehicle are the Americans. So if you want to see a good pickup, with power, sturdiness and an image of total strength, you have to look to the US market. And in the United States the king is Ford and its F-Series Super Duty, a range of vehicles that can take on any situation. The Ford F-Series Super Duty are updated for 2020 and look just as impressive.
The exterior look of this range of high-performance vehicles built for heavy-duty work has changed little. Images of the Ford Super Duty F-250 King Ranch, Ford Super Duty F-350 and Ford Super Duty F-450 Limited have been released, and they have received some cosmetic improvements and changes to the light clusters. Otherwise, the exterior is very similar to the current versions.

The interior has changed considerably, because, as is the trend across the rest of the pickup segment, comfort and technology have become essential for working without sacrificing an ounce of comfort and safety. Unlike SUVs, which despite their crossover intent are more geared toward the city, pickups are built for heavy-duty work, but that does not mean the Ford F-Series Super Duty lack what it takes to be comfortable.

It also features driver-assistance technology which, in addition to the most common functions, adds the Pro Trailer Backup Assist, allowing the driver to maneuver a trailer in tight spaces more easily.
And now to the engine lineup: in addition to the 6.2-litre V8 engine already fitted to this range, a 7.3-litre V8 is added, delivering more power and more torque. A new 10-speed automatic gearbox can be combined with both engines. The range will reach the US market in the autumn, although it will probably be seen earlier at the Chicago Auto Show.
